Techniques

A combination of imagery and techniques are utilised in Kirsty's work. Objects, textures and scenes from the everyday environment are photographed or scanned, overlaid and digitally manipulated.

The resulting composites are interpreted in glass using a range and layering of techniques:

• Screen Printing with Glass Enamels
• Digital Printing on Film
• Sandblasting
• Acid-etching
• Stained Glass Lamination

After treatment, the glass is toughened or laminated for safety and framed or suspended using tensile cables. Larger scale works are integrated into the fabric of the building.
